The staff were very friendly and the hotel was very clean and rooms were of reasonable size.
The distance to the nearest town of Santa Maria is a 2 minute drive, the taxi services which are private charge you from 15 - 20 euro which is way too much and not impressed at that. The breakfast time ends too early it should be till 11. There is room for a swimming pool which I would recommend..

Hotel Mareluna is a friendly and welcoming place to stay. All of the staff were always extremely polite, helpful and courteous. The hotel itself is clean well presented and enjoys a central location in San Marco ensuring all shops, restaurants and the beach are within easy walking distance. You won't regret a holiday there.

Hotel staff were very helpful and pleasant.
Didn't like the rooms. The veranda faces out into the internal grounds of the hotel so that you are looking directly at the doors and windows of the other hotel rooms, not a nice view and not very private. Also, the air conditioning in the room didn't seem to be working and the air in the room was very stifling. I mentioned this to the guy at the front desk and he did appear to try to fix it it for us but that evening the room was the same, it was actually cooler outside that it was in our room but we couldn't leave the doors open as more mosquitos would get in. I think the heat in the rooms was actually attracting mosquitos because we had to go around the room trying to kill them before sleeping but we still woke up covered in bites. Other than that the rooms are very modern and clean but the heat and mosquitos in the room made it an uncomfortable stay.

The front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful and the location was excellent. We had a nice albeit filtered view of the ocean.
The room was very small and a bit cramped. The breakfast wait staff were unfriendly.

Access to beach excellent.
Very poor English at reception by most of staff which gave the impression to me that our problems were being understood but that was not the case. The fridge in our room was'nt working for the whole week we were there despite being reported 3/4 times. Breakfast selection was poor also.

Pool area was great! Close to beautiful beach - few minute walk in little pretty streets.
Cleaners ran into room as I opened door and I asked them not to clean room but they still did in while we had a breakfast. Breakfast is not great but there is a very close couple truly nice restaurants!

Beautiful location on the cliffs. Beach was 1/4 mile away via nature trail along the waterside. It is located more in the suberbs of Castellabate but quaint and friendly people. The hotel was nice with beautiful views. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nicer than most.

There is a very nice little beach nearby. Also, the furniture is modern and adequate.
The most unfortunate thing was that the pool was out of order. We picked this hotel specifically because of the pool, but it was closed...(by the way, we saw the pool - it's tiny and not worth mentioning anyway). Certain staff members had a terrible attitude.
